BACKGROUND:
A native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Dr. Kevin Smith
grew up in Churchill. He graduated from Churchill Area
High School (class of '86). Dr. Kevin is a life long
musician (having studied music since the age of 5). He
went to Duquesne University where he earned a bachelor
of music (jazz guitar performance) degree (class of
'93). His passion for music and especially for the
guitar remains as intense today as it did back when he
first started playing. In 1990, he started his lifelong
relationship with his best friend, soul mate and wife -
Tina. Together they have two beautiful children (Katelyn
and Daniel). The Smith family lives, works and plays in
Bethel Park, PA.
EDUCATION: Dr. Smith earned his bachelors degree from
Duquesne University. After graduating from Duquesne, he
completed a three year pre-med curriculum (1994-1997).
He was then accepted to, and graduated from the
prestigious Palmer College of Chiropractic (in
Davenport, Iowa) where he earned his Doctor of
Chiropractic (D.C.) degree in 2001. Dr. Smith has taken
extensive post-doctoral coursework with a focus in
spinal rehabilitation and diagnostics. He is a life-long
learner and is committed to staying on top of the latest
advancements in physical medicine.
EXPERIENCE: Since 2001, Dr. Smith has been the owner of
his own private practice. He has helped thousands of
people regain their spinal health and live a pain-free
lifestyle. In addition to his private practice, Dr.
Smith is also a speaker, health and wellness consultant
and writer. He is the author of the book "Modern
Chiropractic: The Way To A Pain-Free Lifestyle" (which
has been met with critical acclaim from both the medical
and chiropractic professions). Dr. Smith also regularly
writes health articles and maintains a blog.
ACTIVITIES & INTERESTS: Dr. Smith enjoys playing guitar,
listening to music, sports (football, baseball, hockey),
assistant coaching his kid's baseball teams, playing
with his wife, children and dog (Tucker), writing,
movies, fantasy football, and home improvements (he
spends way too much time at Home Depot and Lowe's -
according to his wife).
